Statistics show that Virginia may have as many as 10-14 termite colonies in a single acre of land- 3 or 4 of which could easily be situated right under or around your home.

These termite colonies constantly forage through the soil looking for food sources, and they don't stop at just one!

Their foraging range will spread beyond the initial food source (your neighbor's house) into an area as large as two acres. At this point, it is only a matter of time before they will reach an adjacent home. In fact, they may be there already!

While our trained professionals recognize the less obvious signs of termite infestation, there are more obvious signs that all homeowners should be on the lookout for. These distinctive warning signs are:

• Stray wings- found near emergence sites such as exterior doors, on windowsills, in cobwebs, and/or at the garage.
• Mud Tunnels- lining the sides of piers, utility entrances, or the inside or outside of the foundation walls of your house.
• Flying/Swarming Termites- inside your house, near windows, doors, or indoor light sources

Subterranean Termite protection will be provided by installing bait/monitoring stations around the exterior of the structure. Certain conditions may require the use of interior bait stations. We may also require the use of liquid termiticide treatments where necessary, at sites conducive to infestation and/or at infested areas.

On-going termite baiting maintenance is crucial to the program’s effectiveness. This on-going protection involves thorough inspections that will be performed on a quarterly basis to identify termite activity in and around the structure. The addition of baits to active stations and liquid termiticide to any infested sites will be at no additional cost while the structure is under warranty.

During the winter termite inspection, we will include a complete Integrated Pest Management Inspection Report. This inspection report informs the property owner of any conditions found that would be conducive to termite and pest infestation in and around the structure.

Subterranean Termite protection will be provided by applying a stand-alone, non-repellant, liquid termiticide to the exterior of the structure. This treatment involves trenching and rodding the soil along the foundation wall on the exterior of the structure. It also includes drilling and treating underneath concrete slabs and porches around the structure. This treatment is designed to create a protective treated zone between termites and the wood in the structure.

An on-going termite warranty is recommended and available. This will include continued semi-annual re-inspections of the treated structure. If re-infestation occurs while the structure is under warranty, further applications of liquid termiticide are included at no additional cost.
